A few things to remember when renting the Artspeak Gallery:
  • a contract must be signed prior to the rental period, and a 60% non-refundable deposit is also required
    within one week of booking the Artspeak Gallery to secure the rental
  • advertising for any exhibitions, etc. during the rental time period is the responsibility of the exhibitor;
  • alcohol may be served at receptions only IF you have applied for and received a liquor license from
    LCBO. Be sure to allow 10 days for this process. ACWR staff is more than pleased to help you complete
    the required forms;
  • the rental period begins at 1pm on Sundays and ends at 11am on Sundays;
  • payment of refundable security deposit of $35 is required in order to obtain key to gallery;
  • Artspeak Gallery is not a juried space and the Artist must comply with, and adhere to, all federal,
    provincial and municipal laws regulating or affecting the content of the Artist’s work;
  • the Artist shall be solely responsible for returning the rented premises to the condition it was in at the
    beginning of the rental term. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of the security deposit;
  • the Artist must agree to the terms in the rental contract and sign (and abide by) same.
